E-Safety

Are you struggling to put safety measures in place so your child can stay safe online? This is not just mobile phones and laptops. These days, many young children and adults have lots of electronic devices, including iPads, gaming consoles, all of which can access the internet.

Even the most technical person can get caught out online; unfortunately, more and more of us are experiencing ā€˜scams’.

What can we do at school?

  • Teach our pupils to stay safe online in our curriculum
  • Open conversations about potential dangers online
  • Information sharing, what we should not share

We do this through our focus days, house groups, and PSHE. But also remind our pupils when using computers in school. In addition to a desktop, /iPads and laptops, regular safety instructions when using any devices.

What can you do?

  • Talk to your child about staying safe online at home
  • Set parental restrictions on devices
  • Take an interest in who they are talking to
  • Avoid them being by themselves, either in their room or somewhere you can’t see the screen.
